BIOS doesn't have NUM Lock switch.

    Greetings,

I purchased a Gigabyte, GA-EP45-UD3L because I wanted to use my existing processor and DDR2 ram.

I installed it and got it up and running, but there is no switch in the BIOS.  Gigabyte told me that there was a switch on the keyboard that turns on the NUM Lock.  But I have to do that everytime I boot.

I have read in forums as of 2001, there is a BIOS upgrade, but Gigabyte didn't tell me about that.

    Any help will be appreciated.

I doubt that this board was available in 2001.

Anyway. here is the gigabyte BIOS download page.  Newest BIOS is August 31,  2009

Re: BIOS doesn't have NUM Lock switch.

    Greetings,

That motherboard that won't keep the NUM Lock on, I am send it back as unacceptable.

There Help Person said, 'that is how it works.'

I am at my wits end over this.

Another thing, there is a second interface with the BIOS, when it comes up, press <Ctrl> and (press <F1> twice) and you'll find the NUM Lock switch.
