    2g stick for Toshiba NB205-N210

Can anyone tell me if they've had success (or failure) upgrading to a Corsair "Value Select" DDR2 SO-DIMM 667 in this Toshiba netbook?

I've searched all over and can't find any discussion at all. Toshiba's tech support is clueless on the correct speed for RAM upgrades. Corsair seems to be ignoring all netbooks.

If anyone's upgraded with this, I'd appreciate knowing.

    Thanks very much!!

According to there web page it uses DDR2 533MHz RAM.

Yes, but on the support page, there's a link to 2g upgrade sticks that Toshiba will sell you, and two of the three are 667s, one 533.

To further confuse, one review on Newegg said he pulled out an 800 when upgrading the memory.

The reason I want to use the Corsair 667 is that it seems to be the cheapest on Newegg at the moment, and has free shipping.

If it only supports 533MHz ram and you stick in a 667MHz stick, the 667MHz stick will just run at 533MHz. so no big loss, most of the time it will work flawlessly. Go for it.
