E7500 VT?

    E7500 VT?

    Quick question about Intels E7500 Core 2 Duo. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115056

     Does it have Virtualization Technology? Newegg says yes as does Tigerdirect(I don't buy from them) but at the link below it's saying that it doesn't. Or am I reading it totally wrong?

    Per that link you have posted from Intel.

    Intel® Virtualization Technology requires a computer system with a processor, chipset, BIOS, virtual machine monitor (VMM) and for some uses, certain platform software, enabled for it. Functionality, performance or other benefit will vary depending on hardware and software configurations. Intel Virtualization Technology-enabled VMM applications are currently in development.

    This means the BIOS has to recognize it and the Chipset.

    The Intel link shows that ordering codes beginning with BX... have VT-x.  The one I received from Newegg matches the ordering code, but does not have VT-x.  Buyer beware.
