New build, random BSOD, Vista64, RAM timing issue?

I am receiving random BSOD with Win Visa 64.  The message refers to IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and disappears quickly heading for a reboot.

I am thinking this is an issue with BIOS setup/memory timing and Gskill tech support has not responded to my support request yet.

I am not interested in overclocking. I am a photographer and use programs such as Photoshop & Lightroom.

In your response, please advise the screen where each setting should be found (i.e. advanced settings, etc)

    Thanks,
    David Owens

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

    It might be driver issue.

You can also view event logs in event viewer.

Also Windows debugging tool sometimes works.

Re: New build, random BSOD, Vista64, RAM timing issue?

I just noticed something odd that gave me an idea to do just as you say Intelguy.  I use dual monitors and I will often display an image in both screens simultaneously.  Oddly enough, I executed a change to the image and, in a split second, the change appeared on the second monitor and just before it could appear on the main monitor, everything died - BSOD.  My thought at this moment is that this has something to do with the video card driver.  So, I went to the eVGA site and there was an updated driver for my video card - filename 191.07_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_whql.

I have installed the driver and will see what happens...  Other suggestions are most welcome until this thing is fixed.  Thanks!

Nope...  Just walked up to a computer that has rebooted again.  The video card driver update did not work.  Any ideas?  I'm trying to figure out how the debugger program works...
