Tilt2/TouchPro2 Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver
I got AT&T's Tilt 2 (HTC) (I THINK it's same as Touch Pro 2??) through AT&T's business line a lil earlier, but when I try to send something to the phone from my Windows 7 RC x64 computer, I cannot send anything. I get the message, not all types of files can be sent or something like that, even when I try to send small picture.
I have no problem sending from my phone to the computer.
Any clue why? I'm so cluelss about this suject.
Also, on my computer, a driver for the bluetooth peripheral device driver is not installed. Well, I see a triangle next to the phone when I go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers. My old first Tilt doesn't have the same triangle. Who should I contact about this? lol What should I do?

Thanks.

Re: Tilt 2 Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver?
Yes it is the Touch Pro 2 just AT&T's version. Did the phone come with any programmes for you to install?

Re: Tilt 2 Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver?
Hey thanks.
Update, I was able to send stuff from my computer after I took out the battery and SIM card once, restarted, then shut down, put back the SIM and battery and restarted. Somehow it fixed the issue.
BUT, yes it came with a CD. It said that it wasnt' able to install and my computer asked if I wanted to install it using a 'recommended setting' to which I said yes. and something installed, but the triangle is still there.
Though I can send files back and force, maybe I still cannot use my computer's internet connection from my phone or something? caz something is supposedly not right lol.

Re: Tilt 2 Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver?
Your computers internet on yoru phone? As in through Wi-Fi? Try going to the main website and downloading the programme instead and see if it will install. My friends Touch Pro was able to send files right away after plugging it into the comptuer without any special programmes at all.

Re: Tilt 2 Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver?
Hm.... yes, I have data service (internet) on my phone, and as I mentioned in my earlier post, the inability to send files to my phone turned out to be a 'glitch' as it was resolved after I turned on the device once without the SIM card to make it look for it, and then turned it on after putting back the SIM. The triangle in the Devices and Printers is still a mystery to me.... It says device driver is not installed. Since I should be able to connect to the cable internet through my computer from my phone or connect to phone internet from my computer via bluetooth, the lack of driver may be interfering that area instead of simple file transfers between the two devices. However, I have never tried internet sharing in either direction that I cannot tell what the lack of driver is actually affecting.

Re: Tilt 2 Bluetooth Peripheral Device Driver?
Using your phone as a modem (to get your computer internet through sprint's network) is called tethering, and all carriers want you to pay extra for it. It's possible that sprint left whatever drivers are necessary out of the install CD. If you pay them extra to tether, I'm sure they'd walk you through the set-up. (this uses BT)
Network flowing the other direction (from your computer to your phone for mobile browsing) will work with a home WiFi router, but not directly through your computer's WiFi or bluetooth. I guess I'm confused ... What exactly are you trying to do? Browse on your phone using your home ISP? Browse on your computer using sprint's network? Print? Now with printing, I don't know how you'd install the printer drivers on your phone (if it's even possible). It would be easier just to copy the file to your desktop and print it from there. EDIT: this can be done using your phone and a bluetooth-enabled printer.
If you just want that windows driver error gone, try uninstall and re-install the software.

Yeah, tethering costs me extra, a lot extra, with AT&T as well, and that's why I don't do it. Well, for now, I wanted to transfer files back and forth, which kinda resolved itself, but I was also curious what this triangle was about. Yeah the printer option is out of question, and thats why I thought of internet sharing being the reason for the triangle. On the other hand, my old Tilt (the device next to it in the picture) was also capable of tethering, but it doesn't have a triangle next to it. I reinstall the soft twice, and that didn't solve it. Maybe because I'm using Windows 7, and there's no perfect set of drivers for this relatively new device? IDK.... anyway, thanks for your post. I guess I need to ignore it..
