How to Reveal IDE pins in 2.5 HDD

Plan to try to recover data from a Toshiba MK40260AX (HDD2193) hard drive from a Dell Inspiron 9100. Interface (IDC?) sticks out of the end of a drive and has 22 connectors on each side of the interface, plus four pins on the end. I'm hoping that I can open this up the enclosure to reveal standard IDE pins, that I can connect to

Koutech IO-UIC120 USB2.0 to IDE Converter - Retail

    just ordered from NewEgg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822999161

Can I do this, if so,how do I open up the HDD ?  Even better if I can re-use the HDD in my Dell Laptop when done.

    Thanks for your help

As you have noted the 3.5 and 2.5 interface are different.  While I thought this would be a problem the interface you ordered says it works with both drives (has an adapter).  No there is nothing to open up.  And I would have ordered a $10 external enclosure and done it that way...so I could use the drive later.

    Freedom's the Answer.
    What's the Question?

Thanks..I've found I could just yank off the IDC connector to reveal the 44-pin IDE interface. What I didn't see mentioned until I got the unit is that this unit requires a 40 to 44 pin converter for 2.5 HDD.  I'll have go find one of those. Funny, didn't see that in the description or any of the reviews.
