Cooler master V8 1156 Capable?

    Cooler master V8 1156 Capable?

    I was looking at the cooler master v8 at there website since it said 1156 socket compatible and decided to go ahead and buy the cooler master v8 since i have a Asus P7P55D Pro and i was gonna get it on newegg.com but it didnt mention antying with 1156 socket compatible im confused dose it or dose it not? i dont wanna waste my time in buying this and ra this back!

    Sorry Penewab but the V8 is not compatable with the 1156 mobo unless they have come out with an adapter for it. I have this HSK&F and it comes with the LGA775, the 1366 and the AMD adaptors but not the 1156 adaptor. They do have this 1156 adaptor sold seperatly.

    Some people on newegg are reporting to have the 1156 with it? I'm really confused when did you buy yours? Someone the users said " It came with the 1156 support" and another said "i guess it came with the 1156 so it shouldnt be that old"

    I got mine in May of 09. Now its getting me confused CM says it fits the 1156 and is sold at Newegg but when you read the specs at Newegg it does not even mention the 1156 as being compatable with it.

    Yea i know that's what im saying. they make all that c**p confusing idk why they cant just put it down or tell us. If it dose fit my 1156 then im set but if it don't im email CM again and telling them to send me the dam socket 1156 brakets for free since i did buy it and i got lied to ;)

     

    (Maybe it dose come with it already and fits it but i guess maybe hopefully newegg hasn't updated it yet?)

    And if you look up the CM V8 on new egg and click on the reviews and type in 1156 as a keyword you will see what this guy said 

    Cons: It is the latest packed unit I got - it is for the I5 too...for the new 1156. So it cannot be that old. 

     

    So i'm guessing only the new ones have it? maybe?

    I think what is happenning is Newegg has some of the old ones on the shelves and the new ones as well and they are just trying to cover their arse because who knows which one will be pulled from the shelves.

    Ahh well hopefully they give me one of the new ones. I emailed CM and they said if it dosent come with it to show them proof of purchase and they will send one free of charge :D

    Don't worry it's compatible with 1156 socket and it include with V8 I just bought it week ago.  Take a look of "Penewab2007" post the second one on the first row from left side is the one u need.
