Guardian:Unfortunately, it seems that the lowest voltage on that adapter is 15v, which could potentially fry his router :(
Hate it when that happens..
In high school, I had a DC->DC car adapter and a tiny set of DC speakers.. Instead of replacing my radio to be able to plug in my MP3 player for my car, I took the DC speakers, plugged them into the DC->DC car adapter and hooked them up to a Rio MP3 player... Unfortunately the little sticker was worn off a bit and I didn't notice the speakers were "1.2v" instead of "12V" and when I plugged it in, it cooked both the speakers and the MP3 player before blowing my cigarette lighter fuse..
Have to be careful with those adapters and those darn decimal points on the stickers can, and do, wear off.
Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAIDI never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.
