Qualified memory vendors are a very small group compared to compatible memory vendors. They only test with certain brand memory (probably based mostly on backroom deals), but the large majority function equally well. As long as it meets or under exceeds (I know, it sounds weird...) specs, you are set. For example, that board supports up to 1066 MHz memory, which means if you go above that, it may work (if motherboard downclocks memory correctly, but this is never guaranteed so also not recommended). You can generally go below the limit without any problems (800, 667, 533) or go straight on at the limit (1066). That Patriot memory should work no problem. Sad how much DDR2 has gone up in price, but memory prices are very upside down bell-curved (start high, go low, end high).
