Best netbook operating system?

    Best netbook operating system?

    I am wondering what people are running as their netbook OS of choice. I currently have an Asus EEE PC (the 1005hab) and am running Windows 7 Professional on it (came with XP; wiped it right away).

    So far I have been really happy with the performance of Windows 7 on a lower-spec machine, and feel it runs comparable or better than XP did.

    So, what is everyone running as their netbook OS?

    Im using XP. Though I have an SSD, so I did most of the tweaks recommended by OCZ. Works fantastic. For daily usage, everything is incredibly fast.

     

    Im not going to bother with beta or RC of Win 7 till the final release is out.

    The one that satisfies you most is the best. It depens. I have used Ubuntu on netbook and also  XP. anyway, both them are better than Asus' modified Linux.

    Yeah, some of Linux fans use DIY system and it's pretty good. And I am using XP lite.

    I actually gave the Ubuntu netbook remix a try, but couldn't get used to it. I thought XP and 7 were pretty comparable in terms of performance. Of course 7 looks prettier.  :)
