So I got a gigabyte case (from newegg) back in August. The front audio port got broken. My headphones get hung up when I lean back or step on the wire. Now no sound comes out of the port UNLESS you put pressure on the side of the headphone jack.
I contacted gigabyte and asked if I could have a new front audio/usb panel circuit board. They said bring it back to the place of purchase. Yeah right, I'm not gonna scoop everything out, pay like $20 for shipping, go through the RMA process, and go without my computer for a few weeks. Besides, I think I had this well past the return window.
What sucks is, if something as simple as the front audio port breaks on a case, you can't get a replacement. And all these front panels are like custom made for each PC.
Anyone know if its possible to fix the audio port somehow? I ordered a soldering iron from ebay and when it comes I plan to try to take off the audio connector from the board and see if I can probe at it and try to bend something inside somehow.
