    What to buy?

    Hello,

im thinking of buying a used computer of craigslist, but i have come across 2 that i might want to buy

i dont want them for anything extreme, just to play some games, and do day to day work.

    First one is:

AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.85 GHz

512 MB RAM, with 40GB Hard drive and Ethernet card.

    Windows XP.

    Video: Radeon 9200

    DVD/CD-ROM

Comes with Windows XP Install Disc (with product key)

Includes headset mic, keyboard, mouse, Modem & hub, and a 15" inch monitor.

    For $90

    second is:

Desktop computer, locally built; 1.68 Ghz processor, 2 Gb RAM, but small Hard Drive, 40Gb. 1 Optical drive, 1 3 1/2 inch floppy.
Newly formatted Drive, with Windows XP Home (Serv Pack 3) clean-installed, some software included.
Monitor: flat screen 17 inch NU. Keyboard and mouse, speakers.

    for $150

i dunno what one is better to buy, and if you choose one do you have any thoughts for upgrades, so it would work a little better.

    Thanks in advance!

    Alex

The one for 150 would be a better deal. Just dont plan on playing any new games on it.

Hopefully the motherboard comes with PCI E slot or you will have to buy AGP or PCI video card, also it also depends on the PSU of the rig to handle the video card. actually it has little space to upgrade.

The second one is a better option. u wanna play some games then better get a power video card, give us some info about the card, lets see what u can get for an upgrade.

Go with the $150 one, but you might want to replace the video card.

    I happily buy tech! Why wouldn't I?
