slowness on the dashboard
I noticed this awhile back and thought it would work itself out. But, my issue is with the time it takes to receive the tracking information. i've ordered 2 packages, the first 1 arrived on time, but didn't receive the shipping information until 2 weeks after it arrived. I ordered some color toner for my printer at work. Even though its been a day and half already, i have yet to receive any shipping information, and nothing shows up when i click on the invoice number on the dashboard. I had to go to ups's website and thankfully they had a way of locating the package using the invoice number and the zipcode. I want to know why its so fricken slow in updating. When i made my first orders, it was easy going. but now its more of a order and pray type of t hing. i'm not like some people here that would leave because of something so minor, the prices are to good to pass up. Just please get this fixed.

I believe Newegg has distributors that sometimes ship things for them. I notice it on games mostly, but inks as well, if I am not mistaken. What happens then, the order go to that distributor and the track info has a lag to it.
Certainly something NE could address and try to rectify, knowing how people love their tracking. lol. You saw "shipped" so at least yah got some positive inclination, but agreed, they need to fix it, shouldn't be too too hard to speed up shipping like this, I mean, this is the tech age of nanosecond data transfer (ok embeliishment there, but ya'll know what I mean. lol)

Ya, NewEgg's e-mail servers have been really slowing down recently.. I think it might have something to do with all those new Socket 1156 motherboard sales..  I placed an order 2 weeks ago that took 24 hours to get the tracking e-mail, but recently placed orders are taking well over 72 hours to get the NewEgg invoice and tracking information..
Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAIDI never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

For FedEx and UPS shipments, Newegg (as well as, I believe, our fulfillment partners for some items) generates the tracking number at our warehouse. Tracking numbers are issued and shipping labels are attached to the package, but UPS/FedEx does not have the information in their tracking system until they give it an origin scan at their local hub (usually later at night after the package ships out). Tracking numbers that have been issued but have no origin scan will say "billing information received." If you query a tracking number from Newegg's website (via My Account), we send an XML request to UPS/FedEx, which they respond to with their most up-to-date tracking info. The tracking info you see on Newegg will be the same info you see if you query the tracking number on the UPS or FedEx website.
Finally, some orders (particularly larger ones) are split between 2 or more Newegg warehouses, as well as possibly one of our fulfillment partners. Some notification emails (such as your invoice email that also has all tracking numbers) do not send until we've received shipping confirmation for all packages in the order. So even though (for example) your 2 packages from California have shipped out with tracking numbers, the 3rd package from New Jersey that will ship tomorrow morning might be holding up your email notifications. If you've had a delayed notification experience that doesn't fall in line with any of these circumstances, please let us know! We'll definitely look into it to make sure there's no bugs that are holding things up. Best Regards, Paul

Well, it was only 1 package. i finally got the email, this time before i got the email from ups telling me it had be delivered. But, the tracking information still isn't listed on newegg like it used to be. As you can see, UPS did an origin scan at 10:08 AM on the 1st. Yet i didn't get the email til the 2nd at 6:32 AM, almost 18 hours after the origin scan. Scans are sent right to the warehouse when the device is placed in the cradle in the truck. Like i said, it used to be really fast. I don't know what happened to the system, but the kinks need to be worked out.

Like paul said, it might be some bugs in their system that held things up. so anytime you encounter any problem just PM wyldstallyn or Dom-Dom or go directly to live chat for help, which opens 24/7hrs now, big improvement in their customer service, and as it is shown on the deatils from ups, the shipping is still very fast, which is good to know

No faster than anywhere else really. The items are still being shown as shipped when it should say delivered. There's a lot of little things that need to be addressed.

ok, well lets try this again. Today I ordered an oem copy of vista ultimate 64-bit for an upgrade i'm doing wednesday, free 3 day select shipping. So if i understand the rules, since it was ordered after 2, it should be at my house no later than friday. if it gets shipped from edison, nj, it'll sit in maryland for a day and half instead of getting here early. I really wish they would get a warehouse closer to where i am, so i can just go and pick up the order :D

Your order is in good shape so far rich (charged, processed), but as you feared the product is shipping from NJ. Most likely it will get a tracking number and ship out today, but at the latest it should ship out tomorrow. If it ships tomorrow, the latest it would arrive would be Monday. I'm praying it'll come friday. I really don't want to have to install the vista version i have on this new build, wouldn't do it justice :). But, that's my fault though. I ment to order it yesterday and got busy at work, forgot all about it. unless tomorrow doesn't count as a shipping day, it should be here friday, else i'm going up to the ups center and picking it up myself since they don't deliver on saturdays (why not, i don't know, they used to). Its not the first time i've had to do it.
lol, do i have give myself support since its oem :D

Everything went smoothly. Still took a day after it was shipped to get a tracking number, but it wasn't a problem since it was 3 day select shipping. I guess the problem lies with overnight shipping since there's a significant delay with newegg doing its updates. Neither one of my completed orders have switched to Delivered, both still say shipped.
