The semiconductor market is unlikely to see a significant market turnaround this year, despite manufacturers' success at reducing inventory, which had reached levels of "severe excess" for four quarters, a research firm said.

Its not too bad that manufacturers have done a better job at keeping inventory in line with demand than in the last economic crisis that started in 2001 following the dot-com bust.

They did, DDR2 with really good timings dropped over $100 in price in less than 12 months.. I don't think I've ever seen mainstream RAM as cheap as they were this year.

But isn't the article referring to CPUs? I haven't noticed that great a drop with those
