Any dual monitor suggestions with thin bezel?

I'm upgrading my DAW pc to dual monitors.  I just put in a new video card  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121250

and I'm about to order an Ergotron dual monitor stand.  I'd like to buy two LCD monitors 22" to 24" but am looking for some that have really narrow bezel's(outer frame) so I have as little seperation from one screen to the other.  I figure on spending about $500 for the pair.  Have any of you seen some decent  quality monitors with this thin frame feature?  I'd rather not have speakers and they would need to have either the 75 or 100 mm mounting pattern.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Re: Any dual monitor suggestions with thin bezel?

It's truly difficult to find a thin bezel monitor, mostly due to technical limitations in LCD design. By having the bezel, it allows for equal light dispersion on the outside corners. Get rid of that bezel and you'll have significant discoloration. That is fixed by using LED lighting because you can 'line up' the LEDs directly behind the screen, but now we're going too far.

If you can find LED monitors, they are definitely the way to go because theoretically they do not need any bezel for technical design purposes in the same way as LCDs...

I did some searching for you and came up with nothing of reasonable cost for dual monitors with small bezel. Acer's have relatively small bezels, but still probably not what you're looking for...

Thanks for idea slm... I was about to increase my budget for monitors.  Then as I read about LED LCD's, I learned that they have a narrow viewing angle.  If I was always stationed at a single position as for editing, that would work.  But I want to use these when I'm recording and I move around some when playing guitar and I'm not sure what I do when I'm drumming.  I think I'll just get used to the idea of a wider bezel divide, or maybe stack one bezel edge behind the other.  But thanks for the info.

     Regards,

    Eric

The LEDs do not necessarily have worse viewing angles, but certain models might. The LG LED LCDs that Newegg has have a viewing angle of 170/160 which is somewhat normal.
