Need an Audio Card?

I'm looking to get some new speakers from my computer, I currently have a cheap set of Insignia speakers. Currently I'm using the onboard sound for my mobo Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor Model BX80601920 - Retail. So any recommendations on cards and/or speakers.

Some onboard audio on the X58 motherboard does very good job and the link you gave is the Intel core i7 processor. It also depends on your budget. as you know some dedicated audio cards are pricy and some of them are dirty cheap.

Your motherboard has got great onboard audio and I don't think getting a sound card would make too much difference. To get better audio quality, try this Creative speakers.
