I was quite excited (eggcited?) to shop at Newegg here in Canada once the newegg.ca site opened up. I had my first chance a couple of weeks ago ordering some equipment for work. After ordering flawlessly through several other large computer hardware mail order chains, I was surprised to see my order fail due to a mismatch in shipping and billing address. I tried again a few different times to figure out what the problem was, eventually I realized I had to make the change with my credit card company. So I did that. I resubmitted the order and it went through without issue. Problem solved, I figured.
So, with that in mind, placed a new order for a different product thinking 'now everything will go smoothly - they've already charged and shipped something to me, what could possibly go wrong?'. Well, this next order did the same thing - it failed at verification. Now I was stumped. I changed my information with the credit card company, Newegg had no problem taking my money the first time. Don't they want me to be a customer? Three days, several chats and phone calls later, my product finally shipped (to my disappointment because I was thinking of canceling and just going with a competitor who could probably get the product shipped more quickly since now I'll probably be waiting another two weeks for something I had hoped to have Friday). While the order was still 'processing' I even offered to pay extra money for faster shipping, but they said that it was too late. Odd, since nothing had been charged.
I'm just wondering if others with similar problems ever got them resolved, or if this is something I'll have to deal with every time (which obviously I won't). I'm beginning to think that the higher prices at the other stores may be worth the cost if only to reduce frustration.
