    Rosewill RSV-S5 software raid question

I am new to software based raid.  After setting up RAID in win xp-32 bit to this rosewill enclosure (eSATA, 5 bays via one esata cable-multilane adaptor in PCI-X), can I plug it into my vista64 laptop esata just like any esata enclosure? or will the software RAID be destroyed?

Re: Rosewill RSV-S5 software raid question

I'm going to guess that since its a software RAID, that the RAID configuration is held on the computer its first set up on. The enclosure is just a way to store the drives outside of the computer, so yes there's a possibility you will lose the RAID if you move it.
