Needs improvement in shipping.

    Needs improvement in shipping.

    Newegg used to be so reliable when it comes to shipping but I have been disappointed by my recent purchase. I know that Newegg isn't directly responsible for shipping but I think they should stop using DHL. What DHL does is basically takes the package across state to drop it in the US postal service because they no longer have the money to hire people to delivery it directly. They're just a middleman that increases delivery time and the risk of losing the package. I had many bad experiences with DHL and I hope Newegg realizes that the cost savings isn't worth it.

    Anyways this is what's going on with my current package.

    They messed up a delivery from NJ to MA and now it's all the way across the country in CA. (unbelievable, did they misspell MA as CA or something?)

     Luckily the package is just a usb drive but I ordered a netbook (this arrived correctly, thankfully) in the same week which was shipped from the same facility in NJ, and now I'm concerned about the shipping of my future purchases.

    Keep in mind, they're utilizing this service to provide free shipping. Now this is the first time I've personally seen an error like this, and wow, it is pretty bad, but I've used Eggsaver many times and have had zero issues.

    On the flip side, people would go ballistic for having to pay upwards of $7-8 for something that weighed no more than a feather, so in the end, the Egg can't really win on this one.

    But again, Eggsaver has treated many right. More so then you may think.

    LOL, first time I've seen USPS screw up more than DHL...  I wonder if DHL created an electronic shipping label when they tendered it to USPS and that's where the screw up was..

     


    Onboard RAID vs. 3Ware RAID

    I never recommend people run RAID-5 with onboard chipsets.

    I'm not really blaming Newegg for this but they should really cut off DHL. I'm actually laughing about this whole ordeal but if it had been a product that costs $20 -30 more then I would have been p****d, lol.

     I hope the package gets to me with like 10 postage stamps and a couple state symbols on it. XD

    Contrary to the Eggsperts posting replies to every shipping complaint about the poor service, the experience you have is the norm, not an exception.

     Too bad this company would rather have a bunch of posers setup to deflect criticism than fix their problems.

     

    Not only do they need improvement in their shipping, they need a whole new attitude towards customer service.

    This is absolute horse berries there buddy. just to be able to show the brevity of how much I order personally (I run a build and support business), I just checked my account, I have 104 orders in this year (2009) alone, more in previous years, and have not had not one serious issue. A few shipments maybe took a day extra, but nothing of this sort. I think if there were really issues, I'd know. We know you're PO'd about your order, but please don't yank peoples chains with bias fodder. Like I said, I've been on this forum for quite a while now, and I don' recall an eggsaver getting redirected like that. So again, your sentiment is not only biased, it's nonsense.

    There have been some RMA events in the past, like any other reseller, and NE has gone out of its way to keep this hardware junkie happy.

    You should really go seek another release man, cause me thinks your the one in neeed of the attitude ajustment, you really are acting like a tourist man.

    Yes because the 15-20 posters complaining (out of several thousand daily shipments) is a norm.

    Yes, because Newegg pays us to sit here and take your whining (obvious sarcasm, we are in no way affiliated with Newegg, except being loyal buyers, who have been through this and have the common sense not to come on here whining when its 2 days into a 4-7 business day ship and its still sitting a state away.)

    As I said, we do not work for Newegg.  We don't have to give you the nice customer service you want.  I'm not payed by Newegg to sit here and hold your hand and politely tell you what you want to hear while you throw your hissy fit.  You want a better shipping option?  Then pay more for the premium service.  No one is holding a gun to your head and making you use DHL.  That is what those options of FedEx and UPS are there for. 

    To the OP, I do hope that you get your shipment soon.  Things like this do happen and not just with DHL.  I remember about a year ago UPS had a delivery note that said TRAIN DERAILMENT.  But just contact Newegg CS and they should be able to do something for youCool

    HAHA, that was awesome..  I know it was unfortunate to those people whose packages got delayed.. But still, it was really funny when all those people came onto the forums and said that UPS was making up excuses because they couldn't get the package to them on time AngryAngryAngry.. Then we tell them to go turn on the TV and there's the train sitting on it's side with their package inside it... Big Smile Hilarious..  People are so paranoid...

    most likely a paid hack, or someone with a personal axe to grind.
