i live in sydney australia, have been shopping from us online store for almost 3 years, J&R amazon and recently newegg
I have a newegg account about 1 year ago, but back to that time, they didnt support paypal, i used to make an order by using credit card and failed seruity check because my billing address is australia but postal address is in usa(i am my own mail forward service , they will send everything i brought from us to australia ). that's fair enough and i just walk away.
recently i checked back on newegg and found they support paypal , so i decided to try (many us online retailer support paypal but only accept payment from us paypal account eg buy.com )
what a surprise! new egg doesnt have that restriction, so i paid from my australia paypal account and they post to my us address within 4 days.
soon i made the second order and everyhing seems fine order been posted quickly
2 days later i made the third order and they cancel the order and sent me an email, i have asked the reason and asked for a refund, they said i can reorder in the furture and refuded quickly however they didnt tell me the reason
but today my account has been blocked and when i tracked my second order , they called it back.
i tried use livechat with customers service, they told me because my ip address shown international so they cant sell item to me which i think it's far from true.
i have been searched newegg policy they do have 2 rules about international policy
1 they do not post to overseas which i am not
2they dont support international credit card which i use paypal(echeck account not credit card account)
amazon used to check my account and sent me the link how to restore my account, after i faxed my bank details to them, everything works great
i do understand every website have the right not to post to overseas or seruity check but refuse to provide serviec just depending on ip address seems so unfair
if they dont want to sell item to foreigners, whey they dont blcok foreign paypak account as buy.com does so the money wont took out from my pocket and i can just walk away.
it's not about if i can buy from them anymore, they should treat me with a little respect like a customer instead of a criminal (called the parcel back from ups which is ready to be delivered today)
