What AntiVirus Do You Use? [POLL]

    What AntiVirus Do You Use? [POLL]

    I'm a little curious as to what the eggxpert demographic in whole is the most popular antivirus.

    I'm currently using Kaspersky IS '09, very unintrusive, updates every hour, 0 false positives thus far, etc.

    What A/V Program Do You Use?

    and why?

    I use AVG Free @ home and pay ver. @ work.  If I want a second opinion at home I get a Panda online virus scan.  Worked pretty well for me for severaly years.  A number of the ones listed above are good though.

    I use what my school provides for free. It use to be a bare-bones version of Symantec for a virus scan and Spybot Search and Destroy for spyware scan but they've recently switched over to the new Microsoft antivirus.

     

    I also like using AVG but had an issue back in November where the free version of AVG did not catch a virus and I had to reformat before the school network would let me reconnect.

    Reasons to get Windows 7:
    Snap to maximize windows
    Formatting huge hard drives
    It's Vista but better

    The ASUS M4A78-E sucks, don't get it.

    I guess I can't vote for multiple ones.  I have been using Avast! but on my Windows 7 RC test computer, I've decided to try out Avira.  Not sure yet if one is really better than the other, but so far Avira seems to use less resources.

     

    Edit: I used to use AVG Free, but it got bloated when they went to 8.0.

    I use Avast! Home version. i used to use Norton Anti virus but was told and found out my self that it was a resource hog and it missed a lot of viruses. I used to scan 2 times when i had Norton and Avast!,Avast! found what Norton missed and it was a lot Surprise

    In my opinion Norton Anti Virus is just a gimmick.

    I agree with you on that I found out the same way. Norton is junk.

    I use AVG free on my rig and on my laptop AVG I bout.
