Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?
Time for an upgrade for me. Built it in Sept 2004. Was the best I could afford at the time. Have had zero problems with it. Still runs some of the newer games OK, but have to put it on lowest settings for most.
P4 3.1G
Centon 2GB DDR 400
Maxtor 250G SATA
Radeon x800 Pro
MSI 865P Neo-2 Platinum
Audigy LS
550w (forgot the brand, too lazy to check)
WinXP SP2

Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?
Time to upgrade as well.
Built in 2001
Athlon 1800
Asus A7V333, you were able to OC if you switch the right dip switch, so I never OC'ed
PC 2700 256 x 2 OCZ with Copper heatsinks (this was the very bigging of heatsinks on RAM)
2 x 100 gig harddrive, ran on an IDE RAID 0 set up
ATI 8500 64 meg , this card was so good THEY BROUGHT IT BACK :)
CASE Antec 4 x 80mm fans with 350 watt PSU (I thought I would never have to worry about power)
Lite DVD (last made DVD player with no hardware copy protection built into it) and 52x CD BURNER
17 CRT Monitor (I spent the big bucks).
Over the years I have upgraded every component, now I have
I went from a athlon 3000+ (one day it died) to now a athlon 2500+
2 x 1 gig pc3200
ati x1950 pro agp 256meg
Abit NF7-S, overclocking dream mobo, runing my CPU at 2.3 Ghz stable
ATI HDTV Wonder card
Antec Sonata II case with PSU (450 watts, not the best PSU, but not the best system either)
Kept DVD player and purchased Lite ON DVD Burner 12x
2 x 320 gig SAT Seagate 16 meg cache on RAID 0
2 x 250 gig PATA Western Digital JB 8meg cache.
and finally a 20" Dell LCD wide screen.
Well thats about it.
And guess what, its soon time to BUILD A NEW ON!!!!!!,

Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?
Just ordered everything but the monitors which have been around for awhile. Most parts from Newegg, Some from other cheaper suppliers. This rig is primarily for application & web development with an occasional game played on it. I have no plans to SLI but I bought the EVGA 680i for its 3 PCIe x16 slots. I would like to go beyond dual screens in the near future. Hopefully I won't be cringing anymore when I run Photoshop scripts with Eclipse, FFw/10 tabs open, and iTunes running. I'm moving from a two year old HP laptop to this new setup as my primary work machine.

Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?

Check the signature out below. That's what I'm banging on right now. It was a budget build. It palys games pretty nice though. Some issues with the big boys, probably the limits of the PNY 7300GT. The OEM CPU isn't that bad either, but its got no OC caps really. I wasn't gonna put any gamin RAM in it either. It's destined for either the right price, or a Video Editing/Web Design machine. I do like the Apevia Cruiser ATX case though. The thing just looks cool and it more solid then most of your budget cases. And I got it without the broken side panel, which I guess is a 50/50 risk. The Mushkin PSU relly made it look sweet, cause the modular cabling got rid of the clutter. I would reccommend the Case and PSU to anyone.

I am about to build my first Intel PC though and I think I'm gonna build that "keeper" "monster". It's been all AMD so far. I also haven't gone dual core yet either, so I know I got some progress to make. I like to learn a little each one. And NEwegg can't be anymore happy about it, ennit!!!!!
