Hey thanks for the giveaway!! Is there any way to verify whether or not my registration went through? The only reason I ask is,I was in a hurry when I did it and don't remember anything about a confirmation page . I also read in the rules that multiple entries were not permitted.

The confirmation page looks very familiar to the log-in page, except for one line that doesn't stand out against the capital letters of the line below it.

"Thank you for your participation!"

 Perhaps a dedicated page would do better? Recommend printing the confirmation page for your records?

We've been told that the "invalid" Date-of-Birth / Telephone Number error that was affecting the Canadian entry page has been fixed. If anyone experiences this error again, please let us know!

Verifying Sweepstakes Entry
After filling out the Sweepstakes Entry Form, you should be re-directed to a confirmation ("thank you for your participation") web page. No confirmation email is sent.

If you don't see the confirmation page, we recommend filling out the entry form again to make sure you're redirected afterward.

Yea, I'm wondering the same. I dont remember seeing the confirmation page, anyone know how to tell if you are signed up or not?

will we lose our chance if we sign up again to make sure we signed up the first time?

y'all just need to PM wyldstallyn with this question and he will advise you on what to do, but i'm sure he will tell you to just go ahead and resign up, if you did sign up within the stated time frame i believe all that will happen is the second signin will just be ignored,, that's what it states in the rules anyway,, it says that the only signup that will be valid is the first one,, if the first one you made was before March 1st then that wasn't valid anyway,,

Kinda wondering if I'm signed up, I haven't won yet.

Not to cause any ruckus or anything but you can't always have your cake and eat it too. Not all states can participate in these for whatever reason, if you don't like it, move to Ohio, we don't discriminate! (This is coming from someone that isn't all that proud to live in Ohio by the way, I'm stuck here for the moment - no offense Ohioans.)  By the way, with other states that can't participate, gosh, my odds just increased!  Can we start knocking out other states too Newegg? -- keep Ohio

We have an official response from our legal team:

"Newegg and many other sweepstakes sponsors often exclude FL, NY and RI from sweepstakes promotions. In many cases, the laws of FL, NY and RI impose heightened regulations and additional costs on sweepstakes sponsors."

The best example I found in my own (personal, limited, unofficial) investigation was a regulation imposed in New York, which requires that the full value of the sweepstakes be bonded if it exceeds $5,000. Simply put, Newegg has invested a substantial amount into this sweepstakes, and devoting additional capital or manpower to meet these requirements would mean reducing the number or value of prizes we're offering.

Ultimately, this is a business decision, and not everyone (particularly residents of NY, RI or FL) will be happy about it -- but hopefully this explanation provides some insight into the reasoning behind the limitations.

This is in regards to your TV Giveaway Contest.  I don't feel like I deserve to win anymore than anyone else who participates. But in June 2008, our house burned down and most of my electronics and pc were heavily damaged along with the 32''sony crt tv  was ruined.  Almost a year later, i have been slowly building my pc back up from your site, one part at a time. and have been watching tv on a SHARP 19SC111. i dont know if you know what that is but its a tv that was released in 1989 with a built-in nintendo.  10 years old when i got it and lifted up early xmas morning and sat it on the dresser and the first movie that it was graced to play was National Lampoon's Xmas Vacation. I'ts been by my side since for times like this. Ive never experienced HD in my own home, nor have i ever won any kinda contest like this, and i just wanted to share my story with you. so if you would like to make a dream come true for one person out there, i would like to be one of the 31 winners of this contest.  I am a loyal customers of yours and will contune to be despite the outcome.  

 and before anyone asks,

YES the Nintendo inside the tv STILL works :)

Normally I would never dream of campaigning about something like this but when I saw the promo in my email, I looked over at my kids watching tv and decided I would share my experience cause they deserve better. Just with bills and things, I have never found enough spare money to splurge on a new tv, despite how much they LOVE telling me how nice the TVs at their friends' houses are. hehe

 I'm sure the contest is random and I dont expect to win due to the odds, but i just wanted to write and share this with you guys so if i did win, you would know what an impact it has made on a family who couldnt have needed it at a better time.  :)

I feel your pain, we're still looking at a junk TV we got from a pawn shop after hurricane Katrina.

Not like we had much to start with, but better than the one we have now, still a old tube type.

actually i think sharp did a pretty good job on this model.  cause even after this long that thing still hasnt blurred out or had any color bleeding.  just wish it had the original front cover for the nes then it would be worth more and i could put that toward a new tv and not have to worry about tryin to win one hahah
