I'd be real careful with that Hec Xpower 585W with a GTX260 man. Hecs tend to be over rated PSUs, and that 260 needs some efficient juice to crank. We usually this list as a guide to PSU quality and reliability: http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx

The PSU came with my computer case and doesn't seem to even be listed on that list but has a lot of good reviews on Newegg.com.  I bought a low wattage CPU and will not be overclocking or using SLI with this setup so I think i'll be fine.  If it is needed later on I will but the GTX 260 only requires a 500 Watt PSU.

You can't just look at the watts, you need to know the amps supplied by the 12v rails

    +3.3V@36A,+5V@36A,+12V1@19A,+12V2@20A,-12V@1A,+5 VSB@2.0A

     Dual 12V rails.

     39 amps between 2 12 volt rails.

The maximum power the GTX 260 will use is 182 Watts.  Uses 25W when idling and 35W during Blu-Ray playback.

It will be less than 39 amps between the two rails since those 12v rails won't ever reach 100% efficiency

But your PSU should run GTX260 fine.

Computer has been completed and it is amazing. It will run Crysis Very High everything and 8x AA very smooth. That is with no hiccups from my 585 Watt PSU.

Seeing as how the only HEC on that list is a Tier 5 doesn't bode well.  But if you're content with it, its your build in the end and this site is just here for you to research with.

For amps on the 12V rails, you can't just add them together.  You need to know the wattage that the 12V rails put out combined, then divide that by 12 and that will give you the true maximum amps.  Just something to keep in mind in the future.  I couldn't find a decent chart on any of those HEC PSUs that gave a detailed breakdown anywhere, not even on their website.

For some strange reason I'm having a hard time believing the 8x AA on all Very High...  This is no extraordinary system (no offense) and you don't even see review sites using that high of filtering while getting barely comfortable frames.  Not sure what you consider very smooth though, so who knows.  Anyways, lets just hope that PSU doesn't get too stressed.

By very smooth I meant no slow downs in gameplay and the ZOTAC I bought isn't the 192 model it is the 216 model which is known to be in the middle performance wise between the GTX 260 and GTX 280.

Crysis was running 1280*768, Very High everything and 8x AA.  I can supply some screen caps if you want.  Also the online comparisons that have a tough time with Crysis filters run around 1920*1080.

If its 1280x768 8xAA then its very believable lol

I'm assuming jvs thought you meant 1680x1050 8xAA since you have a 22" LCD in your description

haha yeah, I was like WTF no way!  At that resolution its believable.  I'm used to reviews that now don't even test resolutions below 1280x1024 so I just assumed.  Those new 216 shader GTX 260s do provide a nice bump in frames.  Well glad you enjoy your new kickass system!  lol

Just ran it in 1680 x 1050 for shits and giggles and I have to say its not that bad.  No major slow downs but you can tell the framerates are not as smooth as it was at 1280 x 768.
