Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?

My Rig is in My Sig. Embarrassed

    ok j/k

    ---------------------

Here it is... freshly built about 5 days ago:

    PICTURES ---->  http://www.wytout.com/images/smilodon

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ 65 watt version 2.4GHz (currently oc'd to 2.6GHz... will go more)

    Memory: Wintec AMPX 2 GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 Dual Channel kit

    Hard Drives: 2 X Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA 3.0Gb/s

Video Card: Cheap Chaintech GeForce 7300GS 256 MB DDR2 (no, I don't game in case you were wondering... well maybe SimCity 2000, but that ran fine on my 486, so I'm not to concerned about that. hahah)

Mobo: Biostar N4FUAM2G (this thing works mint for $65.00... but the BIOS is a PITA, memory timing options are just strange at best)

Soundcard: Vintage Sound Blaster Audigy card, circa 2004 (to be honest it's so old i don't remember the exact specs on it.  don't care either

    Speakers: Altec Lansing VS4221

PSU: Rosewill Stallion 500Watt dual rail

OS: Windows XP SP2 (would you like some Vista sir?... No thank you, you keep it. I'm all set!)

Fans: Whatever Raidmax put in the case

Case: RAIDMAX Smilodon (yes it's a gaming case, no i don't game... so what I like it and I couldn't see how it was all that different from a... uhmmm... no-gaming case)

Processor Heatsink and Fan: Arctic Cooling Alpine 64

    Keyboard: Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard

Mouse: Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0

    Monitor: Viewsonic VX2235wm 22" Widescreen LCD 1680X1050

Misc: OKGear Blue SATA and IDE Cables... uhmmm.... a roll of blue electrical tape (much easier than shrink tube... T.C. - Artic Silver 5

Other thoughts: If I do say so myself, this build went quite well... The thing is just plain fast for what I'm used to so I'm happy, editing some vid clips, touching up 40+ pictures at once, etc.... everything is just instant-there.  It just "retired" my Athlon XP (1.8GHz) 2200+ (oc'd to 2.2GHz) to the "other desk."  Runnin stable and cool at 2.6GHz more to come, haven't played with mem timings too much yet because my BIOS is in Greek, or at least it feels that way Sad

EDIT: ...and sorry for taking pictures... I know of at least one person on this board I apparently offended by listing my build, even tho he actually posted a reply saying "come on people we want to see pictures"...  Please see the next post.

Re: *Sticky* What is in your Rig?

That's was the cheapest setup I have ever seen.

Why build if you don't game?

Why not just buy prebuilt $500.00 setup and call the day?

    Why even take pictures?

    Why sir, why?

I want my money back, this is the worst show I have ever virtually been to.
