    Future of Windows?

Who cares about Windows 7 that's coming in Q4 2009. We want Midori!

I believe that Win XP Pro is MS's best OS yet and will stick to until my pc dies. Then I will most likely go to a Mac. MS has a nasty habit of releasing flawed code and letting the customers find it.

    Nice article rootYes

I definitely don't expect windows 7, i will stick with  XP instead, but I do feel that windows' future belongs to Midori after reading the news, esp. when it comes to this " The safety and portability of managed code would eliminate many of the security flaws that still regularly crop up in software. .NET already makes these bugs impossible". So what do you think the managed code can do?

    Re: Future of Windows?

I'm no software guru but I barely understood half that article. That kind of stuff is way far ahead of its time, from my understanding at least; why it is in the R&D department of Microsoft. I am interested to see what Win7 will have to offer. I am starting to wonder if it will be like Win2k more of a business OS than a home computer OS. But, a clean cut from the windows based GUI is just odd for me to think about.

I am still trying to get use to Vista. It is by far the best windows operating system I have owned.

I don't see any MS OS getting worse with time either. WinME wasn't worse but more of a side step in class. I don't worry about the so called "vulnerabilities" of Vista because they are the same so called "vulnerabilities" of every other MS OS. This is why I get software to combat the bad people of the world. I have come across no major issues with Vista and will us it for at least the next four years.

At that point in my life I will be out of college, go orangemen, and hopefully running computers so far advanced that Vista will even be outdated.
