    Memory Standard

When looking at Mobo's I see Memory Standard, what exactly is that, like DDR2 800, that mean it will take any RAM 800Mhz and below?

As long as it's regular DDR2 at whatever voltage your motherboard takes (if it's 1.8V, it will definitely work. If you have a good motherboard, higher voltages can be delivered

    Re: Memory Standard

Looking over the motherboard, if you can find remarks of supporting a certain model ram,

theoretically speaking, you can choose rams with any brands, which meet the norms of

    this model.

The reason is that there are standard requirements for both memories and the memory

interfaces, and the manufacturers must follow the request in producing. Therefore, the

productions are the same in functions, while the materials, workmanship and techniques

    may have some differences.
