    Acer P243 24"....Any Good?

I need to know if this monitor is worth buying, or is there another one that is better?  Does anyone have this monitor and have regrets?  I will use it for gaming and photoshop, so keep that in mind.  I would also like to run dual cards.  Thanks in advance

I have an Acer 22" LCD as well and its the best bang for your buck.  Surely, you can get a little better of a display in a Samsung, Gateway, or Dell, but when you're not too worried about the perfect "crispness" of the screen; the Acer is a good alternative.

I've had no problems thus far and I've had it for 10 months.

I am using other model of Acer LCD. I quite agree with intelguy. Acer LCD is a good choice.

Have you ever put one next to a Samsung or LG to compare the color quality? I have, and for that reason I wouldn't recommend one even if you had to shell out $50 more for a better panel. They're only the best bang for the buck if all you're looking for is price per square inch of screen.

Keep in mind that computers become obsolete, but a good monitor will last you a very long time. I still have the 20" 1600x1200 LCD I bought 4.5 years ago when I built my last computer.

If there's one thing that's worth investing a little more money in, its a good monitor.

I only ever used Acer and HP LCD and had never investigated about them. That's just personal opinion. Stick out tongue

Some HP LCDs aren't bad. Unfortunately, you can never really tell what panel is inside them since they outsource their panel manufacturing to several different companies, all with varying levels of quality.

First off, what's your budget, so we can help you find a better monitor?

I'm quite sure that we can find you a Samsung 22 - 24" for around that same price tag.

Agreed. I'd MUCH rather take a 22" Samsung over a 24 or even 26" Acer. That's how bad their color quality is.
