    What's ur Google Search Trick?!

Have u ever searched ur tracking numbers of UPS, FedEx, and USPS with Google?

Hah...i often do it and it always works fine by just by entering the tracking number. It really helps save lots of time and also i don't need to bookmark so many sites.  lol

Also If  i wanna see whether the product I'm interested in gets poor reviews or not online, i would prefer enter "**** sucks" and then get an idea what people are thinking (like "IE sucks" vs "FF sucks"). Always quick to get what i wanna. LOL

For finding those reliable information and in depth analysis on the subject of interest, it always works fine to enter the subject by adding :edu. lol

Well, then what's ur search trick in terms of site, music, books, weather, calendar...and etc?

I'd love to see those music Google search tricks. lol

Ur tips are warmly welcome. lol

Re: What's ur Google Search Trick?!

Wow, thats pretty cool. Mine might be a little ovbious and bland but It's all I can think of right now...

Whenever I havce song stuck in my head and I wanna know who sings it or what its called I just pick out a peice of the song that sounds original and type that out into the google search and then add i nthe word "Lyrics" and see what comes up. For example...

"Tonight we drink to youth And holding fast the truth Don't want to lose what I had as a boy"

    Search!

First link, Incubus - Love Hurts Lyrics

    Vola. there ya go ^^

I know... most people probably already do this, but I'm sure someone out there doesn't know it...

Re: What's ur Google Search Trick?!

Well actually I didn't know that you could do that. But mine might be SUPER obvious.  If you ever want to get a quick definition Google search "define:"

Example: You want to know what the word "comping" means, click google task bar type "define: comping" short definition with link immediately comes up.
    By the way
Comping (an abbreviation of accompanying) is a term used in jazz music to describe the chords, rhythms, and countermelodies that keyboard players ...
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comping

Also, another REALLY obvious one. but if you are feeling super lazy and don't want to bring up calculator on your computer just type it straight in. I think you can only do basic math, not to sure about calculus material. haha

    I think that's all I know.

The google toolbar is a calculator.  type in some numbers and operations like 2+5+3-1 and you will see 9 appear in the pulldown box under the bar.

Here is a nice overview of other features

Re: What's ur Google Search Trick?!

I personally like the Numrange Search:

I use it to find a certain item inbetween two cost values.  Example, if I'm looking for a new Ford Mustang GT inbetween $24k and $26k, here's what I would type into Google search.

    Ford Mustang GT $24000..$26000

As you can see, I'm getting a listing of Ford Mustang GT's for sale that are between $24,000 and $26,000.

Now someone hook me up with a trick to magically get me that money!  Wink

Re: What's ur Google Search Trick?!

I like using a "+" sign when i need to look for two things that are related like say a business in the area where i live so "Business name" + "Location" and it will bring up and known business in that location. There is a bunch of things you can use it for its just to seach two items that are associated with each other
