    Looking to buy 26+ Monitor

    Dear Eggxperts,

I am looking to purchase a 26+ LCD monitor. Initially I wanted to purchase Samsung 305T. However, since it is current out of stock, I've decided to see what is available on the market. What do you guys think of the follow monitors, if possible please rate them from 1-10 on the quality and the price, or just tell me which one is better, here are the monitors:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001281

    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8718532&st=monitor&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1200703080130

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116084

     http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176071

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824113013

I should note that I will be playing games on this monitor. Thank you for your help!

Re: Looking to buy 26+ Monitor

The best monitor there based on resolution, brightness, and contrast would be http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824113013, last one on your list. Usually those are the three things you base the quality of a monitor on.. Now some people like the glossy screen because theres colors look more vibrant. But I prefer non glossy because the picture has a sharper look to it. This one has the best res, highest brightness, and highest contrast. And of course its the most expensive one....

Second I would put http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176071, again only thing that brings this one to second is the brightness is a little lower but basically equal to the one above....

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8718532&st=monitor&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1200703080130, and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116084 are really a tie. the only thing that would give the one from best buy an edge is it has a dynamic contrast ratio of 2400:1 but ive never really seen a difference is a lcd has a contrast ratio.... Although the one from newegg is a 28 inch rather than a 27.5 so I would go 28 before 27.5....

IMO price wise the one from newegg the viewson or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116084 is the best price, or bang for the buck. Full 1080p with hdmi connections. But best overall monitor would be either of the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824113013, or  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176071... Also I hope you have a sli setup of gtx280 and core2duo or quad intel or amd quad ready to run any monitor this size especially is you wanna run it at max res with nice detail....

Thank you for your reply. MY setup is 9800gx2 and 3.0 Core Duo.

I was recommended another monitor, which is http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Monitors/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=222-7175.

What do you guys think about this monitor?

Re: Looking to buy 26+ Monitor

Did you ever choose a monitor?  Just curious as I ended up getting the Dell 2709W which has almost as many inputs as the Gateway XHD3000, just with better specs albeit only 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Are you refer to this Samsung 305T. If so, it is available now.
