TracFone, I pay 5 cents a minute AND $5 a month. Even if I don't use it, I still have to pay $5 a month to keep the service active (life-line). Any time I buy, rolls over infinitely month to month as long as the service is active.
Best bargain out there, not very good reception, but great for somebody who doesn't use their phone much.
The Motorola C261 is a pretty sweet phone for $30.
Data access is 10 cents a minute and you can only access TracFone's data services, but you can receive files through e-mail.
I was able to e-mail my phone ringtones that I made out of Midi files for about 10-20 cents each (data access costs) from my Gmail e-mail account. Now I've got over 25 ringtones on my phone and they costed me less than 5 bucks in data transfer fees to get them on there.
Internet on a phone is silly in my opinion
If you want mobile Internet, do it right with a laptop and EV-DO.. Internet on phones is just so.... Meh....
