This Summers Upgrades, just a few...

Last summer I built this computer, about $800 on parts all from newegg.com. First build, and it went well thanks to the help from the people here :).

Since then, I have busted the USB slots on the front of the case because a cord got pushed down while it was plugged in the port and it snapped the circuit. I also got a little mad once at wireless internet and broke all of the slot covers for the extra three 5.25" bays (well bent them in as far as they can go lol).

Well now I have a few things I need, SD slot, at least 2 USB slots, and a Firewire port on the front somewhere.

I also want to be able to use dual monitors, I have an old 17" monitor to use, it would help while editing video. I use VGA connections for my current 19" widescreen, and I will want to use VGA for the old 17" monitor as well. I currently use onboard graphics for my monitor, so I need a video card right? Do they make video cards with 2 VGA ports so that I would be able to use 1 or 2 monitors at a time via VGA? Im not looking for anything fancy either, just something that has 1 or 2 VGA ports.

Also, my DVD all in one drive doesn't work never has lol, I got it OEM or whatever from newegg and never felt like dealing with it because I might have installed it wrong. Is there anything to plug in other than the power cord and the data cord? So I probably need a new DVD everything drive as well.

Then... my floppy drive has no faceplate so it looks weird, I dont want to include it at all... but its necessary to have to install windows... xp? I probably wont ever have to install it again anyways, so I dont know I probably don't need to bother with floppy drive anyways.

As for the case I am thinking about:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811144197
$79.99, plus my current case has a fan I could use in this one. This also would take care of everything but the SD card reader.

    Any advice is appreciated.

I just hope I dont end up damaging anything removing it from one case and transferring it to the new case, seems like its going to be a lot of work.

haha your story made me laugh :)

most video cards have 2 vga ports for 2 monitors, a 8600gts or 8800gt would suit you fine or even a 9600gt, your choice rly.

you dont need a floppy drive to install windows xp, xp comes on a cd so you wil have to replace that dvd drive. Make sure the power cord is in propery and that the ide/sata cable it properly connected.

that case should be fine for u :)

    good luck!

ps- dont tak out your anger on your comp!! lol

Haha oh usually I take it out on the keyboard and mouse, or the desk. Only thing I haven't taken it out on so far is the monitor lol. Ive gone through seriously at least 10 mouses, and 5 keyboards. I used to have wireless keyboard and mouse but they broke because I got mad and threw them at my dresser haha. My current keyboard kinda works and my mouse is completely broke, so I also need a cheap keyboard and mouse combo.

Hmm so yeah I will leave out the floppy drive.

I still have a CD ROM+R+RW drive, but yeah I will need a new DVD drive I suppose, the IDE cable was plugged in all the way and so was the power. It actually started messing up my computer after awhile... I had to open up the computer and unplug the IDE from it.
