New Cell Phone... another problem, LG Vu

First I had a little problem with the SIM card, it fit in one way but it was the wrong way. I contacted newegg, and they sent me a new SIM card. Well later on I figured out it was in the wrong way, the right way required great force to get it in, because it slides in a slot instead of under the battery.

After that it worked, activated my AT&T account and everything.

Few days later got my new SIM card from newegg, still haven't opened the package.

Earlier today my phone was working normally, I set it down for a few hours and come back to it... I am unable to make a phone call, or do anything at all on the phone.

I turned it off and back on, and a message came up: "smartchip not provisioned MM#2". From googling I found out it usually comes up when you put an invalid SIM card in, not a 3G one. Well mine has been working for a few days perfectly fine, nothing changed the phone was perfectly still. It just came up outta nowhere.

What should I do? Put in the new SIM card I received and email newegg support back to activate it for me, and hope that works?

This is so strange, and just had to happen at such a perfect time I was expecting a call and some important text messages -_-;.

The phone has to know theres a SIM card in there though, because when I first got the phone and had the SIM card in the wrong way, it would only show a screen saying "Insert SmartChip", and now I can turn the phone on and off, and only the brief message comes up, but after closing out of it I am able to play with the phone like normal, just no internet, phone, or text.

    Would ya look at that.

Decided to go ahead and try out the SIM card on the gut feeling maybe newegg was a good enough company to activate the new SIM without me even contacting them back (the person originally said email him back to activate it). Wow this right here proves they actually care and pay attention to what there customers say.

Normally it would have been a huge pain to get a new SIM activated, or even get one in the first place, but they did the whole process for me :), and quite quickly.

Phones operating like normal again with the new SIM.
