Probably a combination of things.  Likely they are getting quite a bit of traffic plus for some reason I cannot get anything to work with FireFox3 but it works fine in IE7.

    Re: Diablo III

Good storyline like the previous 2! Better visual & audio effect than D2, but still lack of gothic feel to the graphics, and the blood-spraying sounds and screams from monsters are too much~ a little bit annoying.

And.....I don't think it's scarey anymore since D1....but still better than WOW to me

Looks like one thing they'll be adding is male AND female characters for any class. Meaning you won't have to pick Amazon/Sorceress to be a girl anymore and you don't have to be a guy if you want to be a barbarian, paladin, necro, druid.

Course we only know that there is a Barb and Witch Doctor so far. The Witch Doctor seems to be a revamped Necromancer....same skills pretty much.

Distructible environments looks like a sweet addition too. Watch the videos, they've really done a lot to the gameplay.

    Re: Diablo III

So to those that saw the gameplay vid and the demo at the end... anyone else think the barb's death was a little ... dramatic? I mean, if I were playin hardcore and that happened, at least I wouldn't be as disappointed as say I was killed by a Fallen in D2... ROFL

    Re: Diablo III

Great, I like all the games presented by Blizzard, Warcraft, Startcraft, Diablo and WOW.

It is said Diablo3 will be with much more interesting story lines, stronger combat system and higher quality backgrounds. I’ve been waiting for D3 for very long time, and hope it will be distributed as soon as possible.

    Re: Diablo III

Can't wait till this game is released!  I wish they would hurry up and release some more info on it at least.

Got started playing D2 again.  Just like I remember it from patch 1.10.

    Normal diff is fun.

Nightmare diff is fun, but less so.  It's too easy.

Hell diff is zero fun.  Dying 5+ times per monster is ridiculous, especially when you can kill NM Baal w/o using any potions.

I hope they don't forget by the time it actually comes out. Wish I knew some people wanting to Lan DIII but most people I know only like FPS.

I used to get together w/ a few friends and LAN D2.  My wife would even join in.  FPS was what we played more frequently at LAN parties and had more folks but maybe a 3rd of them would get together for D2.  I just didn't like playing it online.

    Re: Diablo III

I agree, LAN Diablo II was one of the games that really got me into PC gaming. My father, brother and me...used to LAN it over the holidays. For a while there it became tradition at Thanksgiving. Got some cousins and uncles in on it too.

I don't play online either, part of the fun is being able to shout at one another and discuss items etc...without having to type it all out and not knowing whether the person on the other side is legit.

IMHO, there is not better fun in any game than co-op.

Stick out tongueI'm all excited.  First Starcraft 2 and now Diablo III.    Boom baby!  LOL

Looks like all that r&d and money that wow made was put to good use.   Finally!

I used to play both starcraft and diablo on lans and on the moldy modems.   Man,  That takes me back.  :P
