8800 GT video card needs connection to power suppl

I just purchased an 880 GT graphics card and I am trying to put it in my Dell XPS Gen 4 computer.  It needs to attach to the power supply and it has 2 3 pin connectors.  I do not have a loose connection from my power supply.  I was told that I could bunny jump it off an optical drive.  The cable that goes to the optical drive is way too short to reach the video card.

I need to know what kind of cable I need to get and what to attach to what so I can use this card.  Any help would be appreciated.

What's the wattage and power distribution on your PSU? Should be on the sticker.. Need to know the amps it's capable of putting on all your 12v rails. In some situations, you can get a PCI-Express power splitter.

    "Bunny Jump". That's funny.

No, a 4 pin Molex from your Optical or HDD won't work.

You need a dual 4-pin to PCIE 6-pin adapter. It takes 2 separate 4 pin pwer plugs from your PSU and turns them into 1 6-pin PCIE video card power.

And as Sidicas stated, that will only work if your PSU  is rated fora 8800's power requirements.
