    Oops forgot those screws

Today I bought a dvd burner and a hdd for my new comp, I found out today that there are no screws included since it is OEM.

I am interested in the Link Depot LD-SCREWSKIT Screw Kit - Retail

     http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811989012

The thing that keeps me from buying this is the 6 dollar shipping price on this 4 dollar box of screws...

Is it possible that everyone that purchases this have like free shipping or a reduced price for shipping?

    Re: Oops forgot those screws

That seems like a good deal. I don't think you will get it any cheaper than that.

    Re: Oops forgot those screws

It is always wiser to buy these little side things when you place orders. The shipping will go down dramatically if tossed in with the alrger order. I always make a habit of getting all my perepherials at the same time. And in all fairness, OEM is OEM, its not like NE said they would include them right?

Do you need anything else? LOL. B/c if you put together a little order of something, the shipping will seem fairer.

True..it's a great deal. Quite cheap...not sure whether newegg would have its promotion with free shipping/reduced price, Huh? but have to mention that, as Penewab says, it's wise to buy those little things together with other orders. XD

    Re: Oops forgot those screws

If you have a floppy drive and a CD Drive currently installed, just borrow 1 or 2 screws from each. CD & Floppy drives aren't rocket ships, they wont take off if you have less than 4 screws holding them in place.

    Re: Oops forgot those screws

    My thoughts exactly.

I'll typically strip rigs out before discarding them (screws, risers, etc.) - and even some factory builds have 2 or 3 screws each.

Whenever I need an extra screw, I'll pull one from an optical disc or something, and replace it later if I need to.  I hate using so many screws, especially when you're fixing/upgrading constantly.
