    Sony announces PS3 firmware 2.36

Ever since its launch, I've been excited to get one to replace my PS2. But I was worrying about its system stability. And I've heard from my friend who's got one) that the backwards compatibility wasn't as good as PS2.

It's good to hear Sony's official post of the new features. haha.

Sony also announced new firmware, version 2.40, which should be launched soon. Version 2.40 will include XMB access to the game, a new feature called “trophies,” and other improvements.

The launch date for version 2.40 is not disclosed, but you should expect it sometime this summer.
