upgrading and need some help getting it right

    upgrading and need some help getting it right

    right now i have an amd athlon 64 3200+ processor and i'm looking to upgrade. i found out it has a socket 939 and the only othere socket 939 i can find is the athlon 64 4000+. so here's where i need the help. when i replace the processor do i have to stick with socket 939? or can i replace the motherboard with the cpu and change the socket type that way? i appreciate any help

    yes, if you want to stick with your mobo, you have to buy a 939 socket cpu. and if  you wanna move to AM or AM2, you will have to replace the mobo.  imo, If you budget is not limited, it is better to go with the new cpu and new mobo.

    I never liked how AMD, changes their sockets like everyother generation. XD
