Overclocking utility's are good for trashing a system always use bios. First has the system pasted Memtest and OCCT tests at stock to insure basic system stability. Start by dropping memory divider down to take the memory out of the equation and then find CPU max then drop back to stock and raise memory up to find max. Then put the two together to find Max OC. Most DDR2 1066 sticks have little headroom left in them may be 1120-70 depending on the memory. Test...test...test..Wink

Hmmm, you bumped after 1 hour... the bios is the safest way to OC your machine, unless you have a OEM machine (HP, Compaq, Dell ect) then you have to use a program like Ntune or Rivatuner.

    Blame him ^^^

Bios is the best and safest way. If you have an nvidia chipset, you can use ntune but I don't find it that stable.

Make sure you ht link is within limits also, shouldn't be above 1000mhz, usually in bios it is listed as 2x/400mhz, 3x/600mhz, 4x/800, 5x/1000mhz.

If you need more help bump or post reply.
