    SATA DVD burner problem

I just got my burner in the mail.  I connected the SATA cable, closed up the case and turned on my PC.  For some reason the drive isn't showing up on my computer.  Did I miss something?

There are 2 cables you should connect. 1 SATA data and 1 SATA power.

If you plugged it into one of the RAID ports on the motherboard, there's a setting in the BIOS to disable RAID or something like that, I don't remember exactly.

Yeah - it sounds like you didn't connect the power cable to the drive. Were you able to get it working yet?

i think you need set it in the BIOS.

There are some options to choose. maybe the BIOS disabled the SATA.

    give it a shot.
