Trying to install XP on my New System

    Hello,

I am trying to install XP on my New System.  When the windows installer gets to the point to partition the drives; it will only partition the drives at New RAW, then windows says it can't install to this type of partition.  What do I need to do?  I tried creating a Slipstream disk with Service pack 2, but that did not work.

    Thanks, RD48

Read the whole screen, there should be options for Creating/Deleting partitions.

Well, I got it to format.  It did not like two drives in at the same time for the install.  I will install the second one later after I finish getting everything up and running.  The only problem now is that it will only format the whole drive.  I does not let me create my own drive partition size.  Oh well, I will try to split the partition later.

    Thanks, RD48

Ok, well I finally got my first HD partitioned the way I wanted.  I had to us SPFDisk off the Ulitimate boot disk to create my partitions and the use windows to format them.

    Thanks, RD48
