Missing rebate forms from Rebate Center?

    I purchased

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814241073

which had included a $40 MiR from newegg, but the form is no where to be found on the website or the mfg website for that matter. I contacted customer services but they directed me to the Rebate Center.

    thanks

when did you purchase this? The rebate could have expired, they are normally only good for about 30 days.

I purchased it on April 25th, 5 days before the offer ended.

The item has been deactivated, which means it's been out for some time now. Sure you didn't miss the deadline to begin with? Usually when the reabte form is pulled, the deadline has lasped. If there were still time to submit for it, it should be there. GeCube gives a person 16 days to get a submittal postmarked, what date is on your invoice?

Give cust serv a call or LiveChat and let them know if you still have time to submit. They should have some sort of remedy for you.

    Peace, Penewah!

Re: Missing rebate forms from Rebate Center?

I have a similar problem. I only made my purchase on April 25th. The item has the same rebate for this month which says it has to be postmarked 21 days after the purchase date. So I still have a couple weeks left. I don't think the expiration date has anything to do with the rebate link disappearing. It disappears when the month changes. You guys should really fix this system. I usually take care of the rebates as soon as possible. I was just busy this time.

Speaking of this months rebate, anyone know how to edit a PDF? I could change the date and noone would be the wiser.

    Here's the item BTW:  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220252

Re: Missing rebate forms from Rebate Center?

Well, resolved it myself. I went to the company website and they had a form to fill out to request a rebate form. I filled it out and got the form a couple hours ago. But still I think the system needs to be fixed. The rebate link should be present until the submitting expiration date not the purchasing expiration date. If not on the site than at least in the invoice E-Mail.

Re: Missing rebate forms from Rebate Center?

Here's your rebate form from the Newegg rebate center:  http://images10.newegg.com/UploadFilesForNewegg/rebate/SH/Patriot3MIRsApr15Apr3008jh28.pdf, you'll see this form covers your 4/29/08 order date.

With all due respect, you couldn't be more wrong. Newegg keeps the forms there until the rebate deadline for being postmarked runs its course. The month changing has nothing to do it. Believe me, I submit and recieve rebates every single week. I can tell you Just about anything you want to know, which companies, how, when , whos better, who blows, yada yada. I'z serious, rebates are like a supplemental income for me. The forms go a day or two after the deadline for postmark runs.

Now that doesn't mean a form gets inadvertenly deleted by mistake, I mean human error is all around us. Some of us just want to live in a perfect world.

You could switch the rebate dates and playing with the forms, but 1) there's criminal penalty warnings right on the form for doing such things, and 2) the media promotion companies that handle the rebates for the manufacturers can sometimes be very tedious in the examination of said rebate submittal. It's up to you how you want to go about it. But there are consequences, like any other, in this imperfect world.

Now in the case a Seb88, lets hope Newegg helps him out, and no matter what happens, I suspect he'll get remedy and satisfaction. The form for his rebate is indeed not there. But again, the deactivation seems strange.

    Peace to all,

    Penewah!

Re: Missing rebate forms from Rebate Center?

All I know is the link isn't there on the invoice. Where did you find it? I also tried modifying the URL for the May rebate changing May to April. It looks like it would've worked if I had the starting date right (I thought it was April 1st). And I wasn't serious about editing the PDF.

Thanks for the link but as I said in my previous post, I got the form from the company website.

Re: Missing rebate forms from Rebate Center?

Ah, thats a different thing my friend. It must be a limitation of their system or something, but after the rebate lapses, it's removed from stuff like invoices and wishlist, and in "my account". Thats why the have the Rebate Center linked at the bottom of the Newegg website. One has to go in a dig it up. It must have something to to do with a new one being in place.

Another thing I notice that happens, not all the time though, is when there is an item that has rebates one after another, the price of the rebate will change, so if one is switching dates, this may tip the media promotion companies off. Just a thought. Big Smile So I guess I'll say tread softly.
