But I didn't read in your rules anything about not guessing/answering partial (non-10-digit) numbers, and I think I remember doing this in the old 4-peg mastermind games.

I didn't specify a "partial number" rule, but I thought it was pretty much implied that you had to guess a ten digit number.

I guessed nine digits because I knew the last one, and when I deduce the numbers via notepad ;) the tail numbers of guesses tend to be left off, because I am aware of their correct digit.

For summary purposes (everyone): No 0's, no 1's, last digit is 2, with no other two's (I guessed another two because I knew that'd be a -).

I just wanted to make it known that I'm thinking of canning the minigames once school starts back up, since I'll probably be back in the same boat (timewise) that I was a few months ago.  As far as dates go, I'm moving back to university-ville on August 15th, and classes start on the 25th.  I might continue a weekly Roulette or something along that line just so things keep moving, but no promises (as always).  I'll make things formal in a few weeks.

b-but... T_T I like mastermind, even if I do need to take the long route.

Hey CG!

Um... I keep messing up when trying to figure out peices of this Mastermind, if you have a chance could you please double-check them? 8436498592 - XXOOOOO in particular doesn't seem to agree.

Basically, no 9s and only one 8.  7777888899 - OO would then mean one 7 and one 8

 but 5555666677 - XOOO plus some of the others says two 5s and two 6s.

EDIT oh, and my last guess verified no 7, didn't it? 

That one was screwing me up a little, too.  I think your last guess verified more than "no 7's". (i.e. according to all but the anomaly below, the numbers should be 2344556688)

And as far as the puzzle, there are two fours on the side... so what happens with those? Those rows could very easily be flipped - if this is even on the road to solution at all...

I did it both ways, one on top, the other bottom, then showed each four way just in case seeing it a certain way triggered any thoughts.
