Looks pretty sweet.   I believe that is the way to go.  It's too hard/costly (power) to keep a fully functional PC up 24/7...especially when you also have people trying to use it.

That seems dirt cheap...wonder how he does it.  Sounds like it would make an excellent "travel companion" to read web-based email or use your MJ

I got Vonage World.   Like it a lot, actually.   With an annual pay, comes to about $24/month with all taxes included, and we can call friends/relatives in Russia directly.   All home voicemail gets forwarded to my gmail both in audio and text.   And if I change my Internet provider (say, drop Optimum for FIOS), it has no impact on my home phone service.

Nope.

I don't see any use for a landline. 

I'd rather put that money towards more bandwidth
