Well a quick check over at "Watch me Choke" shows that they dont include the playoffs in their pools, so let me be the first to, 1) concede defeat , LOL. and 2) congratulate Volfann on a season well done! I recall early on he was on top, and tailed off a bit there, but low and behold he climbed back up, and kept the rest of us at bay. Job well done Volfann!

Kudos to everyone else, and thanx for having me in, it was exciting to follow for quite a while there.

Saying that, next yer they should really name it "Watch us make you choke!" b/c they really do need to work a few bugs out of the system. LOL. A;ll in all, it was cool. I could have been going to the bookie, and if you see my scores, I would have had to hawk the PCs by mid-season.

    Happy new Years all,

    Peace, Penewah!

I predict that the Bucs, 'Hawks, Steelers and the Chargers will make it past the first round of playoffs.

The Jags are going to run right over the steelers. They have  looked lost for the past month. None of these games are going to matter anyways. The Pats are going to continue to roll and win it all just like I said at the begining of the season.

To be fair, divisions tend to fluctuate every year, what with teams themselves fluctuating so much every year with free agent-salary cap parity. I think a lot of divisions look average right now.

I'd say the AFC South is usually pretty tough, although the Titans have underperformed.

The NFC East is very competitive, but that's due to a very average level of talent and play in the division. I don't think anyone other than Dallas has a competitive chance against the elite AFC teams. Lately, Dallas doesn't even look capable of getting to the Super Bowl.

Applause  The Jags never gave up and scored a fg to seal the deal to beat Pitt with 40 seconds left and forced a fumble after that to win.

Re: Pro Football Pool For Eggxperts

Sundays game with the Jags vs the Pats is going to be a good one. This is not going to sure win for thr pats by any stretch and it may turn out to be the best game of the playoffs. As far as the other games, if the Cowgirls dont have T.O. then they are very beatable and the Giants just may do it even though they are not the better team. Green Bay at home in the playoffs are not going to lose, at least not this game. With the possible loss of Gates for San Diego, they are not the same team. They won an ugly game vs a very depleted team. The Colts are healthy are are going to roll over the Chargers.

    Pointspread wise.....

    Seattle +8        Giants +7    Colts -8    Jags+13 is a LOCK!

Re: Pro Football Pool For Eggxperts

As of right now I can easily see 4 easy blowout wins by the top seeds in every game.  Though history says that is most likely not going to happen I really have no idea what the close game(s) would be.  So I am going to pick the Pats, the Colts, the Pack, and the Cowboys to win and most likely win easily.

Seeing hows books call me for pre-week spreads and tips, I will posit that the Pats, Chargers, Giants, and Seahawks will move on. Take heed friends - you heard it first!

Guess Saturday was favorites day and Sunday was upset day.

For the division championships I am gonna say Pats over Chargers by at least 20, and my least favorite team from WI in a close one over the Giants.

Re: Pro Football Pool For Eggxperts

4 of the Giants 6 losses this year came from the Cowboys, Packers and Patriots. The other two were the Redskins (a playoff team as well) and the Vikes who narrowly missed the playoffs)

    Revenge on Dallas, check

    Revenge on Green Bay, next

Revenge on New England, stay tuned.

The NFC championship game will be all about the run and stopping the run.  Should be a good throwback smashmouth game in +5 degree cold but Giants 1-2 punch should prevail along with a good front four on D.  Giants 17-16  for their 10th straight road win.

AFC will be PATs in a blowout without Rivers and Tomlinson at 100% 38-10.

Wow, 3/4 I could have bet the farm, and still made some cows man.

All I can say is, here's some cakes my Pats, now walk to the Super Bowl and go get that Lombardi!!!! LOL.

Unstoppable at this point. San Diego? Chaaaa-right.

Unless a in their prime Dan Fouts shows up with Charlie Joiner, John Jefferson, and Kellen Winslow the Chargers have no chance.

Fouts probably would have thrown for another 500 yards and still lost again!  LOL.

Well what a disappointing day for the NFL....The Chargers somehow pulled off one of the biggest upsets in playoff history and with backups in during key parts of the game. Needless to say, that  loss by the Colts hurt! Now reality will set back in and the Pats and Packers will meet in the Super Bowl. The NFL wants this game and it is going to happen.

Pats all the way! They will cover the -15 this weekend too!

Re: Pro Football Pool For Eggxperts

Whoo hoo the pack lost, didn't really care who they play I always cheer against them.  Chargers gave NE a closer game than  figured, but it seems to me that the Pats are more of a warm weather/dome team.  I expect them to play much better down in Arizona for the Super Bowl.

I am going to have to pick the Pats to win, I can't really give the Giants much credit since my lowly Vikings kicked the c**p out of them in late November.
