Purchasing laptop, need the stamp of approval!

Hello all, new poster here!  I've been thinking about purchasing a new laptop recently.  My budget isn't all that high.  I came across  ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834280007 ) and thought it seemed like a good deal.  I was thinking of adding another 2 gigs of ram to it.  Can anyone tell me what I can expect performance wise from this machine?  Will I be able to run newer games (CoD4) on decent settings with this thing?  Help would really be appreciated!

It is a real sturdy build. This notebook offers excellent value for the price. I've been playing COD 4 for a while now on the XT5000t, and it has no problems with max resolution. I think this one will be okay. If I were you, I will upgrade memory to 2GB. Good deal.Guitar

Just a heads up if you bump the RAM to 4 GB, Vista 32-bit will not see all of the RAM.  It will only see about 2.75-3.5 of it due to system limitations.

yep. 32bit may only recognize 3.2-3.5 gig even you actually has 4 gig... however, you only add 2 gigs ram, I guess it will help when you play games in fullscreen adn games with a lot of space needed....

Actually the amount recognized may be as low as 2.75 GB, not 3.2, Peacelover.  With my desktop when I was still running 32 bit XP and I installed 4 GB RAM to test prior to switching to Vista 64-bit, my 32-bit install only saw 2.75 GB.

Ok guys! thanks a lot for the help! i just ordered the laptop along with 2 gigs of ram ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134549 ).  i do have one quick question, is it hard to install laptop ram? i've upgraded my desktop before and it was a breeze, but will i have to remove certain parts of the laptop to access the memory slot?

I have had to replace RAM in laptops before and for some of them, there is a cover on the bottom of the laptop that you remove to get to the RAM, on others it will be under the keyboard adn you will have to remove the keyboard to get to the RAM.
