As for Amazon and Jeff Bezos: I'm surprised that they don't yet offer and deliver great amounts of bulk building materials like shingles, brick, and wallboard for people!
As for newegg--I become poetic about them--they don't lose their focus: "May the sun always shine on newegg.com!" They simply are the best for PC parts, peripherals, and PC tech advice--period! Newegg was (and, of course, still is) really smart, also, to realize that its savvy tech customers may be a really great and generous asset for everybody....
Newegg and its many friends save us money--in multitudes of ways--they really are essential as a catalyst to help us reach our goals and potential faster. Less hindered and fettered--we grow in knowledge and expertise: We then help others, society--even the rest of the world--much better and more effectively! Newegg and its friends will prove to be a strong force for good! (OK: Kumbaya!)
(As for product shipping problems: Unfortunately, I think that's somewhat dependent upon a person's location--UPS has a large facility on I-40 in OKC (an important nexus for shipping, anyway), so I haven't had much problem--I've ordered so much from newegg, that I'm somewhat friendly with our UPS delivery guy here! The way I see it is this: Both UPS and FedEx have really stepped up to the plate, considering that, often, we can no longer depend upon brick and mortar stores to meet our needs well--and, not just for tech products.)
