I'm thinking about buying guildwars since its cheap as dirt on amazon... which one(s) do i buy?

The original game is Prophecies, but you can also just buy Factions or NightFall as they both have their own map/starting points.  The Eye of the North expansion is the only one that requires that you have one of the other 3 versions. 

Every version I have bought has come with a free 10 hours that you can use on the other maps so you can always try out a bit of the other maps.

bout the prophecies/factions box set, started playing and liking it, its a bit different than the other mmo's i've dabbled in but i like the change of pace- the game is about finding stuff vs button mashing monsters, i like that
