The Venny......A Brief History
The Venny is named in honor of one of our most illustrious ,and some might say,notorious members. Venture was a true artisan when it came to the one line reply. I was personally honored to have several of his best zingers bestowed upon myself. Many of the more senior forum members probably remember Venture fondly and some not so fondly. Where is he now? Who knows? Maybe he will grace us with his presence again someday..Until that time we will have to settle for this award as an homage .
The idea for an award first hit me when reading a reply in a thread one night and I literally busted out laughing and thought such a reply should not go unrewarded.. It quickly came to me that any such award could only go by one name. The Venture Award,Venny for short. The first depiction of the award was a picture quickly scrounged from the pages of Photobucket and will now be replaced by a nice shiny new badge created by Sovet which can be proudly worn by the recipients. We have had 3 previous winners which include Chico84,sjr,and tesla120. We hope to have up to 3 winners per month and I am asking all forum members to join me in searching the forum for those threads that have the most Venny worthy potential. PM me your nominees and put Venny in the subject line and it will be considered for the next awards. Who will be the next winner? Help me find him or her.
