Thanks for the tips. I hope you don't mind gmail questions. I have just started using google more and can't figure out how to create groups and send the group an email. I suppose it's obvious - but I didn't see how. Also, am I right that I can't download gmail to the computer? Or is there a way to do it?judithbakr@gmail.com

judithbakr, I believe gmail provides options to use third-party email client software (read: outlook/thunderbird) and connect to your gmail account. Instructions to do so are on the gmail website. :)

Go to "Contacts" on your left. Top left of that new area there is a button to make a group... it's one of two buttons/icons.

Or you can do it the other way as Fizzter suggested but I prefer Gmail over third party

i tried using filters on gmail but it still lets in sites i have filters on. richone
